Hey there! My name is Brian Downard…


I help my clients turn ad dollars into customers and I teach freelancers how to become full-time consultants. Welcome to my world!

I am the Founder of BD Ventures, an online marketing consulting company. We help entrepreneurs and business leaders get the advice, tools and resources they need to dominate online marketing.


I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 16 years old. From designing and selling t-shirts to developing iPhone apps for Marriott hotels, I’ve learned more difficult lessons than I could count.


My goal is to share those lessons with you and breakdown what’s working (and not working) for me and my clients so you can cut years off of your learning curve and fast forward your business.

I’ve got nothing against “influencers” but let’s be honest, most people can’t relate to that.


I’m grateful that I don’t have to “fake it ’til I make it” but you’ll never find me pretending to be some huge guru or posting superficial photos on Instagram.


I’m just a hard-working guy who LOVES marketing, entrepreneurship and creating awesome stuff. I’m here to share everything I learn on my journey and you can guarantee we’re both going to learn a lot along the way!


When I’m not hustling you’ll find me biking, hiking or drinking a cold cerveza by my grill in Palos Verdes, CA with my beautiful girlfriend (and puppy doctor) Angie, and our 2 furry children, Biggie and Bentley.
